I decided right off the bat that I really wanted to do a documentary and after that was decided upon it didn't take long for me tofigure out that it had to be on my favorite band!
Honestly, what took the longest time was...well...everything. I don't think one thing took less time than another. If I wasn't looking for facts/pictures/videos for this project I was sweating over how exactly to clip the audio or import youtube videos into my work.
Many times I overloaded my iMovie system by trying to add SO much stuff that it simply could not process all the media and it would freeze and refuse to work until I restarted the program. I had a really bad habit of mixing up my work as well so I might have been narrating about their first album only to find that I had inserted it into the picture of their second album. Also, I kept accidentally deleting pictures/audio for some reason I cant comprehend. Nevertheless that was quite the set back.
I have done projects in my free time similar to this so if I was having to research at all it was only to figure out how to download youtube videos and find the right pictures/videos I wanted so a TON of research wasn't put into it in the sense of having to learn specifically about narratives. I've seen enough documentaries that this was a familiar realm for me. There were, to put it simply no specific sites which I had to look through and learn from.
It took me about 21 hours of work to do this (I know I know) not alot (minute wise) was produced in return for the agonizingly long time this took me but for my first narrative I am pleased with it and that is a lot to be said for 21 hours of work. I hope my next project of this sort if I ever find time and motivation to do it improves!
In addition, a small reason why this isn't so long of a film/narrative, what have you is because I am aware that to someone who isn't a fan wouldn't have much patience for this so I kept it short, sweet, and to the point so it meets the expectations of the project while not being too torturous hopefully!
